Branding — Event Design


Rebrand the University of Minnesota's annual spring carnival branding, spotlighting its rides and games. Employ dynamic colors and captivating graphics tailored to resonate with our target audience: college students.

Objective

Combining typography and graphics reminiscent of a vintage carnival with bright colors and playful layouts, the new Spring Jam™ branding increased excitement for the event amongst college students.

Outcome

Using a font true to the style of old carnival posters, I created three formats for a Spring Jam™ logo to use across all designs. I created original graphics to curate a vibrant carnival vibe for the event.

Informative Design

Prior to the event, building banners and yard signs were placed around the UMN campus. These were designed to be cohesive with the Spring Jam™ branding while still providing the necessary information for the event.

Consistent Layout


To enhance readability on larger signs during the event, I designed a layout that could seamlessly adapt across different signage without the need for unnecessary alterations.
